This weekend I have felt really inspired to be creative and productive. Becca, a friend from Tumblr, recently introduced me to a site called Pinterest. I feel like it was made especially for me. There are so many amazing craft and DIY ideas, it's unbelievable. Anyway, I saw this amazing decorated bangle from Anthropologie and decided to attempt a replica of it, but in necklace form. This is what it looked like.
I used a couple of tutorials that were also found on Pinterest to help me figure out how I could make this easier on myself. I used this tutorial for the pompoms and this tutorial for the navy flowers.
I switched the colors of the pompoms and the other pink flowers. But I was so lucky because I had a very close color scheme in the right materials.
I also made a headband (also found on Pinterest). There was no tutorials, but all I did was take a strip of fabric, sew it in half, turn it inside out and sew the ends. Very easy and it looks so cute on.
However, I didn't take a picture because I do not look/feel good today.
I have also been working on a dress for the past few weeks. (With work and school, I hardly have enough time) But my mom and my grandma have been a big help. I'll probably finish it by next weekend and I'll share the final turn out!
