I finished the quiet books!

I finally finished the quiet books! Like I said here, I made five, one for each classroom, for the daycare I work for. The ones shown in my previous post are for the "Guppy" room and the "Seahorse" room, the two rooms with the youngest children at the center.

This book is for the Starfish room, the next oldest room after the Seahorses.

Hence, the starfish on the cover.

This door opens to reveal a teddy bear inside

The kids can open the mailbox to see letters

They can lift up the egg to see a baby chick

Flap the wings of the stuffed butterfly

Lift the leaves to see the owls

Play with the tongue of the frog

Answer the telephone

And peel the banana!

This book is for the Goldfish room, the next oldest room in the center.

The kids can unzip the cocoon and pull out the butterfly

Open the barn to reveal the animals, and then play with the finger puppets.

Take the eggs out of the nest

Open the tent to see the campfire

Open the gate of the garden and "pick" the carrots

Open the fruit to see the inside

Make the flowers grow

And put on a glove.

This book is for the Stingray room, the oldest room in the center.

The kids can snap on the leaves and flowers to show the different seasons

And then store the unused leaves under the grass

They can pick the petals off of the flower and then rearrange them in any order

They can clip and un-clip the puppy's collar

They can ice the cake, place the candle, and scoop the icecream

They can practice painting

Count the money in the piggy bank
(This is one of my favorite pages)

Button and unbutton the wheels of the cars

And practice tying their shoes!

I loved making these books, but I'm so glad I'm done. They were a lot of work and very time consuming. I took about an hour every day at work to work on them so I could get them done in time.
I took them to work yesterday. The teachers absolutely loved them and my boss thought they were adorable. She actually wants me to show them off at a meeting next Tuesday with some of her bosses and coworkers. I'm nervous, but excited because I know how hard I worked on these and I'm happy that they're being appreciated.

Now I'm going to be able to relax and have one more thing crossed off my to-do list before school starts!

xoxo
